Solo Career
Hey! I’m Ella Bruch and I’m an independent musician from the Lehigh Valley, PA who performs in a variety of different settings. I have a vast range of cover song material that consists of everything from the Beatles to Pearl Jam. I strive to create an easygoing and lively experience for both the audience and collaborators I work with by providing a professional environment. In addition, I tailor every set I create to the atmosphere and ambience of the gig by selectively choosing songs that everyone will love, including myself.
Passion
I have always loved all genres of music, and folk and bluegrass have always held a special place in my heart from my childhood. I was raised listening to everything from Grateful Dead to The Goo Goo Dolls with a whole lot of punk thrown in there. I remember going with my dad to visit my uncle in Vermont and going to see local bluegrass bands with Birks' or bare-feet.
I would see couples and groups of friends laying out on blankets soaking up sunshine and living the true hippie life, I loved it and it became part of me.
My friends even say that I "defrost" in the spring to transform from my metalhead self to my hippie self because of the broad range of aesthetics I love and embrace. No matter how hard-core I may be, I will always remain "peace and love" at heart.
Education
I have studied vocal technique, bass, and guitar at School of Rock in downtown Easton, PA for 6 years where I have gotten a surplus of experience performing with live bands, running sound, managing tech, and even teaching new students. I am also a student at the Lehigh Valley Charter High School for the Arts where I am a music major and get a wide variety of classical technique and music theory education.
